Scope

This document describes the sample preparation and measurement methods for performance testing of thermoplastic polyurethane used in molding and extrusion, and also specifies the requirements for handling test materials and adjusting the state of test materials before molding and samples before testing.
This document provides the steps and conditions for preparing test samples under specified conditions, as well as the steps for conducting material performance tests on these samples. A list is provided of suitable and applicable methods for characterizing the performance of thermoplastic polyester/polyurethane and polyether/polyurethane (TPU) materials used in molding and extrusion, and their measurement methods are selected from the general measurement methods in GB/T 19467.1.
This document also includes other detection methods that are widely used or of particular significance for materials used in molding and extrusion, such as the specified performance specified in GB/T 42918.1.
In order to obtain reproducible and comparable test results, it is necessary to use the sample preparation and state adjustment methods specified in this document, as well as the sample sizes and test steps. Test data obtained from samples of different sizes or samples prepared under different steps and conditions may not be completely identical.
