Scope

This standard specifies the energy efficiency rating, energy efficiency limit values, energy-saving evaluation values of electronic ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps, and the energy efficiency limit values of inductive ballasts, as well as the test methods.
This standard applies to inductive ballasts and electronic ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps powered by 220 V, 50 Hz AC power and with a nominal power of 4 W to 120 W.
This standard does not apply to electronic ballasts used with non-preheated start lamps.
