Scope

This part of GB/T 23723 sets forth requirements for the safe use of cranes, including the crane's safety working system, management, planning, selection, installation and disassembly, crane operation and maintenance, and the selection of drivers, riggers, and commanders.
This part does not apply to manually operated (non-powered) cranes or cranes that are at least partially manually operated, as well as cranes installed on ships, except for the case where land-based cranes are temporarily used on ships.
