Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for the content, form, quantity, placement, graphics, fonts, dimensions, and production of signs on the exterior and interior of railway vehicles.
This standard applies to the installation of the following signs on railway vehicles:
—— Passenger service signs, work signs, and management signs on EMUs and passenger cars;
—— Work signs and management signs on freight cars.
This standard does not apply to schematic diagrams, route maps, and instructional signs used on railway vehicles.
