Scope
This standard specifies the basic parameters, types, technical requirements, test methods, and inspection rules for swing-type flat sanding machines.
This standard applies to swing-type flat sanding machines (hereinafter referred to as sanding machines) that operate under general environmental conditions. The machines are driven by DC, AC/DC dual-use, or single-phase shunt-wound motors to convert rotary motion into swinging motion. The machines are equipped with sandpaper (or sand cloth) made of corundum or other abrasives on a flat plate to sand surfaces of wood, metal, and other materials.
This standard does not apply to swing-type flat sanding machines driven by single-phase asynchronous squirrel-cage motors.
