Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and code, dimensions, appearance, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage, and quality certificates for special-shaped tubes used in high-efficiency heat exchangers, including T-groove tubes, corrugated tubes, inner-corrugated and outer-threaded tubes, and inner-grooved tubes (hereinafter referred to as "special-shaped tubes").
This standard applies to the manufacture of high-quality carbon structural steel, austenitic stainless steel, nickel and nickel alloys, titanium and titanium alloys, and copper and copper alloys used in high-efficiency heat exchangers.
