Scope
This standard specifies the methods for determining ascorbic acid in food by high-performance liquid chromatography, fluorescence, and 2,6-dichlorophenol red titration.
The first method of this standard is applicable to the determination of L(+)-ascorbic acid, D(+)-ascorbic acid, and the total amount of L(+)-ascorbic acid in milk powder, cereals, vegetables, fruits and their products, meat products, vitamin supplements, jelly, gum-based candies, eight-treasure porridge, and wine. The second method is applicable to the determination of the total amount of L(+)-ascorbic acid in milk powder, vegetables, and fruits and their products. The third method is applicable to the determination of L(+)-ascorbic acid in fruits, vegetables, and their products.
