Scope

This standard specifies the basic requirements for the heat treatment process and equipment of liquefied petroleum gas cylinders, the evaluation procedure of the heat treatment process, and quality inspection, etc.
This standard applies to welded steel cylinders for liquefied petroleum gas that are used under normal environmental temperatures (–40°C to +60°C), with a water pressure test pressure not exceeding 3.3 MPa and a nominal volume of less than 240 L, which can be refilled repeatedly (hereinafter referred to as "cylinders").
