Scope
This standard specifies the testing conditions, selection of reference samples, operating procedures, data processing, and testing reports for quantitative analysis of dendritic segregation in steel billets using an electron probe analyzer.
This standard is applicable to steel billets with dendritic segregation element contents exceeding 0.01% (by mass fraction). Ingots, castings, and steel products can also be used as reference materials for similar applications.
