Scope
This document specifies the instrumentation and equipment, standard samples, sample preparation, pre-measurement preparations, selection of measurement conditions, measurement process, measurement of electron beam incident current, calculation of the mass fractions of each element, assessment of measurement uncertainty, and reporting of results for quantitative analysis of various elements in samples using electron probe microanalyzers (electron probes).
This document is applicable to the quantitative measurement and data processing of various elements in samples by electron probes, and the quantitative analysis of scanning electron microscopes with spectrometers should be carried out in accordance with this document.
