Scope

Scope: This document specifies the terms and definitions, quality requirements, and hygiene requirements for rice in the Jianghan Plain; testing methods; testing rules; and labeling requirements. This document applies to rice grown in 37 counties (cities and districts) within the Jianghan Plain region. Main technical content: 4. Testing methods 5.1 Sampling and sub-sampling shall comply with GB/T 5491. 5.2 Thousand grain weight testing shall comply with GB/T 5519. 5.3 Length of polished rice grains and length-width ratio testing shall comply with GB/T 24535. 5.4 Polishing rate testing shall comply with GB/T 5495. 5.5 Testing for imperfect grains shall comply with GB/T 5494, and the test results shall be calculated according to Equation (1): (1) w – content of imperfect grains in rice, %; m0′ – mass of rice sample, in grams (g); m1 – mass of imperfect grains in polished rice, in grams (g); Under reproducible conditions, the absolute difference between the results of two independent tests shall not exceed 0.5%, and the average value obtained shall be the tes
