Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product identification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for colored, shaped polyester staple fibers. This standard applies to shiny, triangular-section products with a nominal linear density of 1.6 dtex to 3.2 dtex; semi-matt, round-hollow-section products with a nominal linear density of 1.6 dtex to 3.2 dtex; and shiny, flat-section products with a nominal linear density of 1.6 dtex to 4.5 dtex, which are used for non-filling purposes. Other types of colored, shaped polyester staple fibers may be used as a reference for application.
