Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for shaped polyester staple fibre products.
This standard applies to non-filled, uncoloured polyester staple fibres with a nominal linear density of 1.3 dtex to 3.2 dtex and triangular, cross-sectional, hollow-round shaped cross-sections, as well as glossy and semi-matte ones. Other types of shaped polyester staple fibres can be used as reference for application.
