Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and usage information for fruit filling pastry machines.
This standard applies to fruit filling pastry machines that form pies, fruit tarts, pastries, puff pastry products, and other similar foods under the pressure of one or more forming heads.
This standard applies to the following three basic models:
—— Machines where the operator's hand enters the danger zone 1 (see 4.1) during each cycle;
—— Machines where the material is added outside the danger zone 1;
—— Automatic machines (electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic drive).
This standard does not cover automatic feeding devices.
This standard does not include manually operated machines.
