Scope
This standard specifies the structural form, technical requirements, usage methods, installation and operating conditions, and verification requirements of standard nozzles; it also provides the volume flow and energy flow, mass flow, and the calculation methods of their measurement uncertainties under the standard reference conditions of natural gas.
This standard is applicable to the flow measurement of single-phase mixed gases with methane as the main component using standard nozzles, where the fluid maintains subsonic flow throughout the entire measurement section.
This standard is not applicable to the measurement of pulsating flows, nor to its use in pipes with diameters less than 50 mm or greater than 500 mm.
