Scope
This standard specifies the determination method for the amylose content of uncooked rice - the reference method.
This standard is applicable to rice with an amylose content higher than 5% (by mass).
After the scope of application is confirmed, this standard can also be used for the determination of amylose in brown rice, corn, millet, and other cereals.
