Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, general principles, materials, manufacturing, inspection and acceptance, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of steel drying cylinders (drums) used in papermaking machinery (hereinafter referred to as "drying cylinders (drums)").
This standard applies to steel drying cylinders used in the papermaking industry. At the same time, equipment in similar working conditions in industries such as food, dyeing, textiles, leather, and wood processing can also refer to and implement this standard. The steel drying cylinders (drums) specified in this standard have a diameter of no more than 4,000 mm and an operating pressure of no more than 1.2 MPa; for drying cylinders (drums) with a diameter greater than 4,000 mm to 4,600 mm, they can refer to and implement this standard after technical review.
