Scope

This standard specifies the model numbering, performance requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage, and user manual preparation requirements for hanging gas fire extinguishing devices. This standard applies to hanging HFC-227ea gas fire extinguishing devices, hanging HFC-236fa gas fire extinguishing devices, and hanging halogenated hydrocarbon 1301 fire extinguishing devices. Devices using other gas extinguishing agents can also be used for reference. This standard does not apply to hanging halogenated hydrocarbon 1211 fire extinguishing devices.
