Scope
This standard specifies the basic parameters and types, technical requirements, test methods, and inspection rules for upright grinding machines.
This standard applies to single-phase series excitation, three-phase power frequency, and three-phase medium-frequency upright grinding machines (hereinafter referred to as grinding machines) that use general flat grinding wheels to grind steel under normal environmental conditions.
This standard does not apply to other types of grinding tools, such as upright bowl-shaped grinding machines and handheld flexible shaft grinding machines.
