Scope

This part of GB/T 34560 specifies the terms and definitions of structural steel, the classification and designation methods of steel grades, the content of orders, dimensions, shapes, weights, technical requirements, inspection rules, test methods, packaging, marking, and quality certificates. This part is applicable to hot-rolled steel plates (strips), wide flat steel, section steel, and steel rods (hereinafter referred to as "steel") used in welding, bolting, and riveting engineering structures. The specific requirements for structural steel are given in different parts of GB/T 34560.
