Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and markings for composite tube plates made by explosion welding, using titanium and titanium alloys as the composite material and carbon steel and low-alloy steel as the base material, for use in power station condensers and heat exchangers. It also covers the packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates, and contract (or order form) content.
This standard applies to explosion-welded titanium-steel composite tube plates (hereinafter referred to as composite plates) for condensers and heat exchangers with a total thickness of 24 mm or more.
