Scope

This part of GB/T 18442 specifies the selection principles, installation requirements, and calculation of the safety relief capacity and discharge capacity of the pressure relief devices for fixed vacuum-insulated cryogenic pressure vessels (hereinafter referred to as "cryogenic vessels"). This part applies to cryogenic vessels that meet the following conditions simultaneously: a) the working pressure of the inner vessel is not less than 0.1 MPa; b) the geometric volume is not less than 1 m3; c) the insulation method is vacuum powder insulation, vacuum composite insulation, or high vacuum multi-layer insulation; d) the storage medium is refrigerated liquefied gas with a standard boiling point not lower than -196℃. This part does not apply to the following types of cryogenic vessels: a) those with inner and outer vessel materials made of non-ferrous metals or non-metals; b) spherical structures; c) those with stacked insulation methods; d) mobile ones; e) those storing refrigerated liquefied gas with a standard boiling point lower than -196℃; f) those storing media classified as toxic gases according to GB 12268; g) those with special requirements such as defense military equipment.
