Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for pre-oriented nylon 6 filament. This standard applies to pre-oriented filament processed from polyamide as raw material (mainly used for processing elastic filament), with a nominal linear density range of 8 dtex to 444 dtex; single filament linear density of 0.5 dtex to 7.0 dtex, and a cross-sectional shape of round, glossy, semi-matt, and fully matt uncolored nylon 6 pre-oriented filament.
