GB/T 11918.5-2020 Plugs,socket-outlets and couplers for industrial purposes—Part 5:Dimensional compatibility and interchangeability requirements for plugs,socket-outlets, ship connectors and ship inlets for low-voltage shore connection systems (LVSC)
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the dimensional compatibility and interchangeability requirements for plugs, sockets, marine connectors, and marine input sockets used in low-voltage shore power connection systems (LVSC systems).
This document applies to a single type of plugs, sockets, marine connectors, and marine input sockets (hereinafter referred to as electrical accessories) used to connect ships to dedicated shore power systems described in IEC/PAS 80005-3:2014.
This document applies to three-phase electrical accessories with three lines, insulated to ground, and equipped with one grounding contact and several control or communication contacts in a three-phase system.
This document applies to electrical accessories with a rated current of 63 A, 125 A, 250 A, and 350 A, a rated operating voltage of no more than 1,000 V, and a frequency of 50 Hz/60 Hz.
Note 1: The various operating currents, voltages, and frequencies required by different types of ships are set by the shore power systems described in IEC/PAS 80005-3:2014.
These electrical accessories are designed to be installed and used by trained personnel (GB/T 2900.73—2008, Definition 195-04-02) or skilled technicians (GB/T 2900.73—2008, Definition 195-01).
This document applies to ambient temperatures ranging from -25 °C to +55 °C, and is primarily intended for outdoor electrical accessories in marine environments.
Note 2: Under certain conditions, other ambient temperatures may exist, and this should be taken into account.
These electrical accessories are only connected to cables made of copper or copper alloys.
Sockets or marine input sockets installed or fixed in electrical equipment that form part of the shore power connection system are all within the scope of this document.
In special locations, such as those prone to explosions, additional requirements may need to be added.
