Scope

This document specifies the measurement requirements for the spectral response of linear and non-linear photovoltaic devices.
This document is applicable to the spectral response measurement of single-junction devices. For multi-junction devices, reference can be made to IEC 60904-8-1. The spectral response of photovoltaic devices can be used to measure the recombination and other processes occurring within semiconductor or battery materials, so this document can also be applied to the research and development and analysis of batteries.
