Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product identification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for colored polyethylene terephthalate (PTT) short fibers (hereinafter referred to as "colored PTT short fibers"). This standard applies to colored PTT short fibers with a nominal linear density of 1.5 dtex to 2.5 dtex, semi-matt finish, and circular cross-section, intended for non-filling applications. Other types of colored PTT short fibers may be used as a reference for implementation.
