Scope

1.1 GB/T 4732 specifies the construction requirements for steel pressure vessels (hereinafter referred to as "containers") designed using analytical design methods, and provides a design method based on elastic stress analysis or elasto-plastic stress analysis, based on failure modes. This document specifies the general requirements for materials, design, manufacturing, inspection, and acceptance of containers designed using analytical design methods.
1.2 Design pressures applicable to GB/T 4732:
a) Containers with a design pressure greater than or equal to 0.1 MPa and less than 100 MPa;
b) Containers with a vacuum degree greater than or equal to 0.02 MPa.
