Scope
This standard specifies the inspection items, inspection methods, and inspection requirements for the safety technical inspection of motor vehicles, as well as the determination, handling, and archiving of inspection results.
This standard applies to institutions with qualifications for inspection and testing that conduct safety technical inspections of motor vehicles. This standard also applies to institutions engaged in the inspection and testing of imported motor vehicles that conduct safety technical inspections of incoming motor vehicles. Motor vehicles that have been approved for actual road tests and temporarily imported motor vehicles can refer to this standard for safety technical inspections.
This standard does not apply to the safety technical inspections of tractors, transport units, and other tractors that are driven on roads.
