Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, materials, structure and manufacturing, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of fiberglass reinforced plastic underground storage tanks used for petroleum products and ethanol gasoline in gas stations.
This standard applies to horizontal cylindrical fiberglass reinforced plastic single-layer underground storage tanks (F single-layer tanks), fiberglass reinforced plastic double-layer underground storage tanks (F/F double-layer tanks), and steel fiberglass reinforced plastic double-layer underground storage tanks (S/F double-layer tanks) with a working pressure of -2 kPa to 3 kPa and a burial depth of 0.5 m to 2.1 m.
