Scope
This part of GB/T 37194 specifies the sample preparation and performance testing methods for polyphenylene sulfide molding and extrusion materials, as well as the requirements for sample processing, conditioning before molding, and testing. At the same time, it stipulates the procedures and conditions for sample preparation, as well as the performance testing procedures for samples made from the materials, listing the suitable and necessary properties and testing methods for characterizing polyphenylene sulfide molding and extrusion materials. The performance items are selected from the general test method GB/T 19467.1. Other widely used or particularly important testing methods for polyphenylene sulfide molding and extrusion materials are also included in this part, such as the melt mass flow rate or melt viscosity, density, and tensile modulus in ISO 28078-2. In order to obtain reproducible and comparable test results, it is necessary to specify the methods for sample preparation and conditioning, as well as sample sizes and testing steps. Test data obtained from samples of different sizes or prepared using different processes may not be consistent.
