Scope

This document specifies the requirements for dried seaweed, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, transportation, and storage. This document applies to non-ready-to-eat dried seaweed products made from the raw algae of Porphyra yezoensis/Pyropia yezoensis and Porphyra haitanensis/Pyropia haitanensis, which are obtained through processes such as sorting, washing, removing impurities, cutting (or shredding), forming (or not forming), and drying. This document does not apply to products that are processed by adding additives, food additives, or through baking, seasoning, and other processes.
