GB/T 14048.12-2016 Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear—Part 4-3:Contactors and motor-starters—AC semiconductor controllers and contactors for non-motor loads
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 14048 applies to AC semiconductor controllers and contactors used for non-motor loads that are operated by switching the conduction and cutoff states of AC circuits. Typical applications are listed in the use categories in Table 2. As controllers, they should be able to continuously or within a specified time period reduce the effective value of the AC voltage at the load end, but the AC half-wave time determined by the applied voltage should remain unchanged. The electrical devices in this part may be equipped with a series-connected mechanical switch device and connected to circuits with a rated voltage not exceeding AC 1,000 V. This part specifies controllers and contactors with or without bypass switch devices. The semiconductor controllers and contactors covered by this part are generally not used for breaking short-circuit currents, so it is advisable to use appropriate short-circuit protection devices (see 8.2.5) as part of the electrical device, but this is not a necessary requirement for the controllers themselves. Therefore, this part specifies the requirements for semiconductor controllers and contactors used in conjunction with separate short-circuit protection devices. This part does not apply to: -- the operation of AC and DC motors; -- semiconductor controllers and starters for low-voltage AC motors specified in GB/T 14048.6; -- electronic AC power controllers that meet the requirements of the IEC 60146 series of standards; -- devices with or without solid-state relays. The contactors and control circuit devices used in semiconductor controllers and contactors should comply with the requirements of the relevant product standards, and the mechanical switch devices used should comply with the requirements of their respective product standards and the additional requirements of this part. The purpose of this part is to specify the following: a) the characteristics of semiconductor controllers and contactors and related equipment; b) the
