Scope
This part of GB 14048 specifies the requirements for threaded or non-threaded terminal blocks installed on brackets, which are mainly used for industrial or similar purposes to provide electrical and mechanical connections for copper wires.
This part is applicable to terminal blocks used in circuits with a rated voltage of not more than 1,000 V AC, a frequency of up to 1,000 Hz, or a rated voltage of not more than 1,500 V DC, for connecting round copper wires with a cross-sectional area of 0.2 mm2 to 300 mm2 (AWG24/600 kcmil), whether they have undergone special processing or not.
