Scope

This part of GB 14048 applies to transfer switch electrical appliances (TSEs) with a rated voltage of no more than 1,000 V AC and 1,500 V DC. TSEs are used to transfer power between two power sources, and during the transfer process, the power supply to the load is interrupted. This part includes: -- manually operated transfer switch electrical appliances (MTSEs); -- remotely operated transfer switch electrical appliances (RTSEs); -- automatic transfer switch electrical appliances (ATSEs). This part includes TSEs with and without casings. The control appliances (such as control switches) and protective appliances (such as circuit breakers) necessary for TSEs shall comply with the requirements of relevant national standards.
