GB/T 14048.6-2016 Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear—Part 4-2:Contactors and motor-starters—AC semiconductor motor controllers and starters(including soft-starters)
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 14048 applies to semiconductor controllers and starters for AC motors intended to be connected to circuits with a rated voltage not exceeding 1,000 V AC, which may include a series-connected mechanical switch device. This part specifies the characteristics of semiconductor controllers and starters for AC motors, with or without bypass switch devices. The semiconductor controllers and starters for AC motors covered by this part are generally not used for breaking short-circuit currents. Therefore, it is advisable to use appropriate short-circuit protection devices (see 8.2.5) as part of the equipment, but they are not essential for semiconductor controllers and starters. Therefore, this part specifies the requirements for semiconductor controllers and starters for AC motors used in conjunction with separate short-circuit protection devices. This part does not apply to: -- The continuous operation of AC motors at non-normal speeds; -- Semiconductor devices for controlling non-motor loads, including semiconductor contactors (see IEC 609471:2007, Section 2.2.13); -- Electronic AC power controllers that comply with the requirements of the IEC 60146 series of standards. The contactors, overload relays, and control circuit devices used in semiconductor controllers and starters for AC motors should comply with the requirements of the relevant product standards, and the mechanical switch devices used should comply with the requirements of their respective product standards and the additional requirements of this part. The purpose of this part is to specify the following: -- The characteristics of semiconductor controllers and starters for AC motors and related equipment; -- The conditions that semiconductor controllers and starters for AC motors meet in the following aspects: ● Operational performance; ● Dielectric performance; ● Enclosure protection grade (if applicable); ● Structure; -- The tests and methods used to verify that the above conditions are me
