Scope

This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, and inspection rules for aluminum alloy pressed joints of steel wire ropes (hereinafter referred to as joints). This standard applies to joints of round steel wire ropes with a diameter of 6 mm to 65 mm and a nominal tensile strength of no more than 1,870 MPa. This standard does not apply to joints of single-strand and special-shaped steel wire ropes.
