GB/T 17988-2024 Performance requirement and test method for disinfecting tableware cabinet

Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements for the health and safety, disinfection, antibacterial, anti-mold, cleaning, and drying functions of dishwashing disinfection cabinets (hereinafter referred to as "disinfection cabinets"), as well as the classification of disinfection effectiveness and labeling requirements. It also describes the corresponding test methods. This document applies to single-phase appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V, and other appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 480 V, used in households and similar settings, which primarily use electric energy as their main energy source and employ physical or chemical disinfection methods such as electric heating, ozone, and ultraviolet radiation (only as auxiliary methods), as well as disinfection cabinets that combine several of these disinfection methods. Other appliances with dishwashing disinfection functions should refer to this document for implementation. This document does not apply to the following disinfection cabinets: — Disinfection cabinets that rely solely on ultraviolet radiation for disinfection; — Disinfection cabinets that are not primarily used for dishwashing disinfection, such as towel disinfection cabinets; — Disinfection cabinets installed in special environments, such as those with corrosive or explosive gases (dust, vapor, or gas); — Disinfection cabinets used for medical and health purposes.
