Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and labeling, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for recycled polyester staple fibers.
This standard applies to recycled polyester staple fibers used for yarn production with a linear density of 0.8 dtex to 6.7 dtex, nonwoven recycled polyester staple fibers with a linear density of 0.8 dtex to 22.2 dtex, and filling recycled polyester staple fibers with a linear density of 0.8 dtex to 33.3 dtex, which are produced from recycled polyester (PET) as raw materials through melt spinning. Recycled polyester staple fibers with a linear density outside the above range may be used for reference. Other types of recycled polyester staple fibers may also be used for reference.
