Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for the proper selection, installation, and use of residual current operated protective devices (RCDs), as well as their operation and management. This standard applies to AC power supply systems with a rated voltage not exceeding 400 V. This standard does not apply to the protection against electric shock accidents, electrical equipment damage, or electrical fire accidents that occur between phases or between phases and the N line.
