Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for elevator traction machines with a rated speed of no more than 10.0 m/s. This document applies to traction machines for passenger elevators and freight elevators. It does not apply to traction machines for service elevators, home elevators, and inclined elevators. However, this document can be used as a reference. This document does not apply to elevator traction machines that use hydraulic control brakes.
