Scope
This part of GB/T 28471 specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, marking, packaging, storage, and transportation of isolated safety barriers used in industrial process measurement and control systems.
This part applies to isolated safety barriers (hereinafter referred to as safety barriers) in industrial process measurement and control systems.
This part does not apply to Class I (for use in coal mines) and Class III (for use in dust or fiber environments) explosion-proof electrical equipment.
Safety barriers are a related device of the intrinsically safe explosion-proof system.
