Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the ash content of starch. This standard applies to starch and modified starch with an ash content not exceeding 2%, and is not applicable to hydrolysis products, oxidized starch, and samples with a chlorine content exceeding 0.2% (calculated as sodium chloride).
