Scope

This document defines the terms and definitions of household and similar-purpose electric washing machines with antibacterial, disinfectant, and purification functions, stipulates hygiene safety and functional requirements, as well as labeling requirements, and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document applies to the production, inspection, and sales of household and similar-purpose washing machines (hereinafter referred to as "washing machines") that are explicitly indicated on the device or in the user manual to have one or more functions such as antibacterial, anti-mold, disinfectant, anti-mite, anti-allergen, anti-virus, and odor removal.
This document does not apply to: — The production, inspection, and sales of ordinary semi-automatic washing machines; — The inspection of the drying function of washer-dryers.
