Scope
This part of GB/T 15972 specifies the general requirements for fiber optic characterization measurement methods and test procedures, including measurement and test classification, standard atmospheric conditions for measurement and testing, calibration guidelines, sample preparation, etc. It also stipulates requirements for fiber optic classification, fiber optic materials and structures, identification marks, and packaging. This part is applicable to the inspection of Class A multimode fibers and Class B single-mode fibers used in communication equipment and devices employing similar technologies.
