Scope
This standard specifies the classification and composition, requirements, test methods, marking, and content of the user manual for medical steam generators. This standard applies to medical steam generators with a working pressure not exceeding 0.8 MPa, which use electric heating or steam heating to produce steam (hereinafter referred to as steam generators). The steam generator is an independently controlled, externally installed device, and the steam it produces is used by medical equipment in medical institutions. This standard does not apply to steam generators that produce steam by other means.
