Scope

This part of GB/T 16508 specifies the material grades and standards that are allowed to be used for pressure-bearing components of shell boilers, as well as their basic technical requirements (including steel plates, steel pipes, steel forgings, cast steel parts, cast iron parts, suspension rods and braces, fasteners, welding materials), applicable temperature and pressure ranges, allowable stresses, and the material grades and standards that are allowed to be used for non-pressure-bearing components.
This part applies to the selection and use of materials for pressure-bearing and non-pressure-bearing components of shell boilers as defined in the scope of GB/T 16508.1.
