Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and identification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and other requirements for polypropylene staple fibers.
This standard applies to polypropylene staple fibers for spinning and nonwoven applications, with a length of more than 20 mm. For spinning applications, the yarn density ranges from 1.67 dtex to 7.80 dtex, and for nonwoven applications, the yarn density ranges from 1.67 dtex to 120.00 dtex. Other types of polypropylene staple fibers can be used as reference.
