《爆炸性环境》的本部分规定了避免由设备、产品和工艺过程而引起静电点燃和电击危险的试验方法。
本部分适用于静电危害的评定，或用于制定电气或非电气设备标准或专用产品标准。
本部分提供的标准试验方法，用于控制静电，如表面电阻、对地泄漏电阻、粉末电阻率、液体导电率、电容，以及评价触发放电的引燃性。本部分与GB/T 3836系列标准一起使用。
注： 本部分不取代具体产品标准和工业应用标准。
本部分提供的现有最新技术可能与其他标准的要求稍有偏差，尤其是在试验气候条件方面。当本部分的要求与GB 3836.1的要求有冲突时，为了避免以前获证设备可能需要重新试验，则GB 3836.1的要求仅适用于GB 3836.1规定的设备。对于其他情况，本部分的要求适用。
