Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for pasteurized canned refrigerated crab meat products.
This standard applies to canned refrigerated crab meat products made from fresh or frozen swimming crabs (Portunus trituberculatus) and snow crabs (Chionoecetes opilio) through the processes of steaming, filleting, canning, pasteurization, and refrigeration. Other canned cooked crab meat products may be implemented in accordance with this standard.
