Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, graphic symbols and abbreviations, basic parameter levels, technical requirements, tests, and nameplates for modular multilevel converters (hereinafter referred to as converters) used in flexible DC transmission. This standard applies to converters that use water cooling, air insulation, and indoor installation. Converters with other topologies can also be implemented in accordance with this standard.
